SweetWatt is a Mac app that drives a smart trainer and records your workouts. It is published by AlpSan, EURL, the controller of the data described on this page. It needs no account, no server and no tracker. This page says what stays on your Mac, what leaves it, and when.
In the app
- Your workouts (power, cadence, heart rate if the trainer relays it, target, second by second), your FTP and your settings are written to SweetWatt's Application Support folder, on your Mac. You can delete a workout from the history, or the whole folder.
- Bluetooth is only used to talk to the trainer you choose. Nothing is sent anywhere else. A frame log may be written to the Logs folder of your Library, for troubleshooting; it doesn't leave your Mac unless you send it to us.
- intervals.icu: if you enter your API key, it is stored in the macOS Keychain, and a workout is only sent when you click the upload button. What intervals.icu does with your workout is covered by its own terms.
- The license is sold by Polar, the reseller that takes the payment and sends you the invoice, under its own terms. To activate it, the app sends Polar the key and your Mac's name, then checks the key again at most once a week; without a network, it stays unlocked.
- Updates: the app asks an update feed whether a newer version exists. Like any web request, this sends your IP address and the app's version, and nothing else.
On this website
- No cookies, no trackers, no analytics, no third-party scripts. Your language choice is remembered in your browser only.
- The host keeps technical logs (IP address, pages requested) for the time set out in its terms, to run the service.
- The contact link opens your email app: what you write stays between you and us.
